Machete Attack in Paris

A man waving a machete approached a group of soldiers in the Carrousel du Louvre, an underground mall adjacent to the monumental Louvre museum in Paris.

According to CNN, Paris Police Chief Michel Cadot claimed that the man had shouted “God is greatest” in arabic and soon afterwards a soldier shot him five times. The man survived the shots and was taken to the hospital with severe injuries.

Tourists inside the museum were kept inside under lockdown procedures and were not allowed to leave until they were screened. Only one person was arrested but it has not been confirmed whether or not they have anything to do with the attack.

The man (who perpetrated the attacked) was a 29 year old Egyptian who was a current resident of the United Arab Emirates and is currently under investigation.

‘A Day Without a Woman’

On its social media pages the organizers of the Women’s March posted an image that read “General Strike: A Day Without a Woman.”

The date of the strike has not been announced yet, and little information has been given as well.

However, the under the post a caption was left stating, “The will of the people will stand.”

This is not the first time an event like this happened. A little over 40 years ago, over half of Iceland’s women vacated their jobs. Their employers didn’t make a big deal of it, but rather prepared for such event.

Just last year women in Poland women went on a strike against the ban of abortions, and cases of incests and rape. As a result the government shut down the ban.

Kellyanne Conway’s Bowling Green Massacre

While defending the President Trump’s immigration ban on muslims (in an interview with MSNBC), adviser Kellyanne Conway mention that former President Barack Obama had also placed a six months ban on the Iraqi Refugee program after capturing the masterminds behind the so called Bowling Green Massacre.

Conway received much criticism for citing an event that never existed.

Some sources gave Conway the benefit of the doubt claiming that she must have been referring to an incident where two Iraqi men were seriously charged for having ties to attacks against U.S. troops in Iraq. And of which who were living in Bowling Green, Kentucky. As a result Obama did not ban the refugee program but had implemented a slowdown in the visa process, after these men had been improperly screened.

Conway later stated that she had misspoken, meaning to say terrorists instead.

However,  sources such as the Cosmopolitan and TMZ stated that this was not the first time that she had brought up the made up massacre.

Google’s Perfect Dress

Google recently teamed up with Ivyrevel (a branch backed by H&M Group), to help create the “perfect” dress for woman using just data.

Women will be able to design their very own dress by using an Android smartphone app that collects data. The app will be able to use tools created by google in order to collect data such as a person’s location, the weather, and their physical activity.

With such data the app will be able to create the dress design, including the material, cut, shape, and etc.

The app is currently being tested and if everything goes well it will be released later on this year.
