We all remember the first day of school, getting to see our friends again, going to a school that we know so well. But what about that one person that doesn’t have any friends and doesn’t know the school so well? Cedric Doaks is a junior and new to Lake Ridge and has a lot to say about it.

“I wasn’t nervous at all, I was actually excited, and I felt good. People were nice to me, I felt like I belonged,” Doaks said.

“Most people would get nervous and scared. People wouldn’t expect much for school, they want to go home right away.“It was fun, and I met a lot of new people. I was amazed,” Doaks said.
