Taylor Swift’s Week of Guests at the Staples Center
Taylor Swift opens the show with her popular track Welcome To New York, stepping out in a purple and blue sparkly jacket with a skirt and sunnies to match. She sings her heart out, all while smiling and dancing along with her string of dedicated dancers surrounding her. With her recent release of 1989, Taylor Swift once again managed to sell-out five sold out shows at the Staples Center. But, like on her previous tours, Swift had a surprise in store for her fans every night of those five shows. She swings her golf club while singing Blank Space, she glows during All You Had To Do Was Stay, and sparkles while singing in front of an arrangement of flying paper airplanes. All of these props and flashing movements all lead up to Swift’s chart-topper Style. She comes out shining in a sparkling costume, and has the audience screaming before she can even start the song.
Throughout the week, we watch as Taylor is presented with a banner for holding the record for the most sold out shows at the Staples Center, by the one and only Kobe Bryant. Celebrities like Uzo Aduba, Lisa Kudrow, Mary J, Blige, Selena Gomez, and Justin Timberlake graced the stage with Swift on the nights of the concerts. Singing hits like Selena Gomez’s Good For You and Timberlake’s Mirrors, resulted in screaming fans who surely lost their voices the next day. But that’s not all, Swift also had besties like Gigi Hadid, Joe Jonas (yes, Joe was there despite their previous history), Zendaya, Cara Delevinge, and Karlie Kloss. The nights were full of beautiful screaming fans and lyrics was sung throughout the night. It’s safe to say Taylor Swift’s Staple Center nights were a success.
