The Lake Ridge offense was the shining star this week with 554 total yards, with 513 rushing yards. The high winds did seem to have a visible effect on the Eagles’ passing game as Jett Duffey threw for 35 yards and one touchdown. However, The Eagles had three rushers with over 100 yards: Duke Carter with 197 yards and 4 touchdowns, Jett Duffey with 186 yards and 3 touchdowns, and Gerard McClain with 147 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Defensively, Lake Ridge forced a turnover on Tyler’s first play from scrimmage. The Eagles’ special teams helped the cause as they blocked two punts to set up the offense with great field position.
The Lake Ridge Eagles (12-0) play Mesquite Poteet (9-3) this Saturday at 9pm at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys.
