The  Lady Eagles varsity basketball team moved to 7-4 in 5A district II play with a 52-49 home win against Red Oak on Jan. 22.

With the victory, the Lake Ridge improved to 9-14 on the season, fourth in district standings.

The Lady Hawks fell to 2-9 in district play and 8-14 on the season.
