Spring Break is approaching quickly and it is obvious that Spring Fever has taken over Lake Ridge.  Spring Break is a respite from jam-packed school days, and in a city where big things happen, why not discover all of the things going on in your own backyard? So, here is a list of activities in DFW that you and your family can enjoy over break that won’t break the bank.

1. Amon Carter Museum has brought back Free Family Fun Week – An informal program that is designed to bring families together to learn about American art/artists. The program runs from 10:30 a.m.-noon March 11-14.
2. Cosmic Jump – A hopping place (pun intended) where you can burn off some calories and have fun doing it.  The facility offers dodge ball and slam dunk trampolines and nightly DJ’s. Cosmic Jump is offering a Spring Break offer of $8.66/hour.  Cosmic Jump is located in Allen, TX.
3. Dallas Arboretum – Dallas Blooms! is happening through April 10th, 2016. Admission to the Arboretum is only $10 and bringing a picnic lunch saves you a ton of money! The Arboretum features Texas-themed playgrounds in teepees and mud huts by the lake.  The tulips, daffodils, and pansies are in full bloom so bring your camera for the perfect Easter photo.
4. Dallas Museum of Art – It’s Art Madness during an action-packed week of art-making activities, family tours, and team gallery competitions for the entire family.
5. Dave & Buster’s – Offering half priced games every Wednesday.
6. Euro Bubble – Looking to burn off some energy? The Grapevine Mills Mall offers the perfect place.  The Euro Bubble, in the middle of the mall, places humans inside a little plastic bubble and allows you to run like a little hamster over a pool of water.  It’s hilarious.
7. Fort Worth Museum of Science & History – Check out What’s Up, Doc? The Animation of Chuck Jones and catch “Humpback Whales” in the Omni Theater.
8. Perot Museum of Nature and Science – Extending to two weeks in 2016, Spring Break at Perot comes packed full of fun and exciting science from March 5-20. Daily activities and “Science on the Spot” demonstrations such as pinwheels, egg dyeing, cloud making, to Discovery Camps, sleepovers, and 3D films, the museum is springing-forward with exploration.
9. Six Flags Over Texas – Six Flags opened for it’s 55th season on Saturday, March 5. Spring Break hours run from from March 10-March 20.
10. Mansfield Urban Air Trampoline Park – Open from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Check website for coupons.
