Watching the performances during half time and the weird exciting commercials is fun, but you can’t watch the Super Bowl without some delicious food to munch on.

“When I watch the Super Bowl I like to eat on the more savory side. I like to eat wings, pizza, and nachos,” said Pelumi Dosunmu, senior.

On the topic of pizza, here is a simple pizza recipe that is perfect for the Super Bowl. The ingredients you will need to make this French bread pizza are:

~Pizza sauce
~Loaf of  French bread
~Cheese
~Pepperoni
~ Additional toppings if desired

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees

Cut the French bread into good size squares.  Then all you need to do now is top your pizza.

Spread the sauce all over making sure you get the whole surface of the bread and then add your cheese, pepperoni, and any other topping of your choice. Put the pizza into the preheated oven until the cheese is melted and the bread looks golden brown. This is a very simple pizza recipe that you can indulge in a lot faster then waiting on a delivery.

Now with the main course out of the way, you will need to have dessert. So how about something that is really sweet and refreshing: chocolate covered strawberries! Here is what you will need:

~Strawberries
~Chocolate (any kind you like)
~White chocolate

First you want to rinse all of your strawberries well. Then before you get started put a sheet of wax paper on a baking sheet. Then you want to start melting your chocolate in 10 second intervals unit, melted.

Now that your chocolate is fully melted, submerge the strawberries in the chocolate and set aside on the baking sheet. After all your strawberries are all coated with the chocolate put in the freezer for 5-10 minutes to firm up. When they have solidified, melt your white chocolate in 10 second intervals until it becomes semiliquid. Now for the fun part, decorating! You can use a piping bag or a tooth pick draw on the one line going down and three lines across to make the football laces. You can add as much to as little detailing you would like; just have fun with it. After you are done icing your strawberries, stick the finished treats back in the freezer until they are ready to serve.
