Cutting Edge Haunted House is an opportunity for a great night of fright. The haunted house is lorated in Fort Worth, TX in a corner of town known as the Hells Half Acre.

The Haunted House started in 1991, inside an abandon meat packaging plant which was first built in 1908. The meat packaging equipment is in fact still in use, where instead of meat being hoisted, human mannequins ripped to shreds are pulled along on the conveyer belt from floor to floor for an extra scare factor.

The Cutting Edge Haunted House is filled with zombies, creepy clowns, Leather Face from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and other terrifying creatures.  Amy Klezendorf, an actress that portrays a zombie enjoys getting to scare people for a living.

“It’s so much fun to have a job where I can sneak up on people and make them scream,” Klenzendorf said.

The Cutting Edge has established a reputation for being one of the best haunted houses in the country. Winning the Guinness World Record in 2009 for having “ The Longest Walk Through Haunted House” as it takes an average of 55 minutes for guests to walk through. Cutting Edge was also ranked by Yahoo as being the 6th ranked most terrifying haunted house in the nation.

Due to its large size, Cutting Edge requires many workers to manage it, employing about about 170 workers on staff. Before the show starts, the process of getting everyone ready takes an hour and a half to get the full staff in make up and dressed. Frances Woodruff, Cast mom, has the job of wrangling everyone together as smoothly as possible in order to be ready each night for the haunted house.

“I usually just check everyone in, make sure everything runs smoothly, and get the kids where they need to go,” Woodruff said.

Cutting Edge Haunted House is a thrill seeking attraction full of unbelievable scares and frighteningly-realistic props for the Halloween season. The haunted attractions run from mid September through early November.
