The Lake Ridge volleyball team defeated Lindale in four sets Thursday in a second round UIL State Volleyball Championship playoff match at Forney High School.

After dropping the first set 24-26, Lake Ridge (27-18, 11-5) rallied to win three straight (25-18, 25-22, 25-17) to claim the area title and a birth in the third round.

It was the third-straight win for Lake Ridge which continues its playoff run Nov. 9 at an undetermined location in the regional quarterfinals against either Hallsville or Waxahachie. See playoff bracket here

In first round action, Lake Ridge defeated Kimball in straight sets.
