Eagles make defensive play at the Eagle Bowl

Friday May 20, 2016 was the fourth annual Eagle Bowl. The Lake Ridge football team played their spring game, as they tried to build off of last seasons success.

The Eagle offense was reminiscent of seasons past. Junior quarterback Jason Bean showed his athleticism and passing ability. The offense looked great as receivers Zach Jackson, and Tyler Robinson played well. The offensive line created rushing lanes for running back Joseph Rowe.

Defensively the Eagles made clutch stops at all levels. Junior defensive tackle Andrew Colon was a force all night and the DBs, lead by Seth Ette, made plays on the ball all night and linebackers, lead by Cooper Thor, showed the ability to make tackles all over the field.

After the game Coach Thor spoke to us about his biggest goal of the spring finding a two deep varsity roster. Coach Thor said, “I think we found depth at some positions, but other positions will be decided in the fall when we return for practice.”
