For the start of  NFL divisional round playoffs, the Dallas Cowboys will take on the Green Bay Packers this Sunday. The Cowboys will be hosting the game at the AT&T stadium in Arlington, TX.

Both teams are evenly matched, and first place in their divisions. The Cowboys have certainly made a jump from last years record of 4-12 to this years of 13-3, and at one point this season held a ten game win streak. Dallas’s Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliot have contributed to the success this season, and both have also been named to the NFL pro bowl.

Faith Ette, Junior, has a family full of Cowboys fans and has grown to support them as well.

“I absolutely believe the Cowboys will win the game this Sunday, their offensive line is arguably the best in the league, as well as their defense. Also they are a team that fights to the end, even when there is only a few seconds left on the clock”, Ette said.

Ally Kim, Senior, moved to Mansfield this summer from Clermont, FL. She says she immediately fell in love with the Cowboys culture here.

“When I moved to Texas I came to enjoy the success that the Cowboys had this season. I believe the Cowboys will win because of their determination and seeing now how far they have come already,” Kim said.

The Green Bay Packers will provide good competition this Sunday as they come in as the top ranked team in the NFC north with a record this season of 10-6 and lead by starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Jimena Vivanco, Junior, believes the Packers have what it takes to defeat the Cowboys. She sees the quarterback experience of Rodgers as a benefit.

“What stands out about the Packers to me is the consistency they have had over the past few years, they have been in the playoffs many years in a row, as well as having one of the best quarterbacks in the league, Aaron Rodgers. I believe they have the experience to win and move on this weekend,” Vivanco said.

The winner of Sunday’s game will play in the NFC championship football game the following Sunday for a shot at the Super Bowl.
