There is no better way to start off the school year than making history. On September 15th, Lake Ridge ‘s Eagle Nation News will broadcast their first ever podcast. Seniors Ashlie Currier and Nate Martinez host the show which this week focuses on the Lake Ridge football team. Currier and Martinez spoke to both Coach Ruben Covington and Coach Christopher Allen to get special insight into the football program, and also highlighted senior Will Ready as the player of the week.

Currier, who has been involved in Journalism at Lake Ridge since her freshman year, is excited to be a part of something so special.

“I feel honored to be a part of something groundbreaking. It will really raise the bar for the future of journalism here at Lake Ridge,” said Currier.

Martinez is in his first year of Newspaper and is also proud of the program’s accomplishment.

“We all worked together as a team to get it done, and it feels good and humbling to come together and put out something so unique,” said Martinez.

ENN plans to produce future podcasts focussing on athletics, popular culture, and other special events happening around campus throughout the year.
