October is finally here and that means it is breast cancer awareness month, this is an annual campaign to increase knowledge of the disease. Breast cancer is the second most common kind of cancer in women. National breast cancer month is a chance to show the importance of early detection of breast cancer. Knowing this, our website “went pink” on our headers. Also, Lake Ridge has an event on October 16 where students where pink clothing to show appreciation towards the breast cancer awareness event. This event also supports faculty, staff and students that has families or friends that were or are affected by breast cancer.
