Traditional pumpkin pie recipe

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and everyone can’t wait to hang out with family, talking about how grateful we are, and let’s not forget the food.

Continuing the topic on food, let’s just be honest one of our favorite things about Thanksgiving is the food.

The mac and cheese, green bean casserole, corn, mash potatoes, and we can’t forget the dessert, like sweet potato pie, pecan pie, and most importantly pumpkin pie.

Pumpkin pie is the perfect kind of pie for Thanksgiving, it makes your house smell amazing and it gives you a cozy feeling you get when you take a bite.

I have the perfect recipe for a good ol’ pumpkin pie from AllRecipes.com

1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin
1 (14 ounce) can EAGLE BRAND® Sweetened Condensed Milk
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions: Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Whisk the can pumpkin, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, spices and salt in medium bowl until smooth. Pour into crust. Bake for 15 minutes.

Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and continue baking 35 to 40 minutes or until knife inserted 1 inch from crust comes out clean. Let pie cool. Garnish as desired. Store leftovers covered in refrigerator.

This is a traditional pumpkin pie recipe, but you know what they say— it’s an oldie but a goodie.
